Seize The Day/Moment
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” 3 John 1:2
There is a phrase that has been used down through the years and I would like to echo it to you.
“Seize The Day and/or Seize The Moment”:
To “seize the day” and/or a certain moment in time. To put aside all differences, all fears, all worries, and just go for it. To make the most out of that part of time.
- When Abraham was told by God in Genesis 13 to look in a direction where he physically saw nothing, but yet by faith envisioned things supernaturally, because he saw it through God’s eyes (faith).
- When Elijah stood on Mt Carmel and challenged the false prophets of Ahab and Jezebel, he seemed to be physically standing alone. But his faith in God afforded him the supernatural presence of God backing him against all odds.
Here we are at a point in time as a body of believers walking by faith, but have a Red Sea in front of us mountains on both sides and the enemy behind us, but like Abraham, Elijah and Moses we have God for us.
It is our God given opportunity to Seize The Day/Moment in time that God has placed before us. Not allowing fragments of doubt to become mingled with our pure faith and trust in God.
“Seize the day” and/or a certain moment in time. To put aside all differences, all fears, all worries, and just go for it. To make the most out of this part of time.
So I conclude with this biblical fact Isaiah 54:2-5 MSG:
“Clear lots of ground for your tents! Make your tents large. Spread out! Think big! Use plenty of rope,
drive the tent pegs deep. You’re going to need lots of elbow room for your growing family. You’re going to take over whole nations; you’re going to resettle abandoned cities. Don’t be afraid—you’re not going to be embarrassed. Don’t hold back—you’re not going to come up short. You’ll forget all about the humiliations of your youth, and the indignities of being a widow will fade from memory. For your Maker is your bridegroom, his name, God-of-the-Angel-Armies! Your Redeemer is The Holy of Israel, known as God of the whole earth.
